Like almost every website, our server records basic technical details each time a page is requested: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that linked you to us, and the date and time. These server logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
What we do not collect
aNewsTime does not run analytics, advertising or social media tracking scripts, and does not build profiles of readers. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so reading an article does not send your details to font or image services.
3. Cookies
aNewsTime does not set its own cookies. Cloudflare, the network that delivers and protects our site, may set strictly necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. These cookies are not used for advertising or tracking, and they expire within a short time. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some security checks may then ask you to verify you are human.
4. How We Use Information
- To deliver pages to you and keep the site fast and available.

- Authorities, when we are legally required to, or to protect the rights and safety of our readers, our team or others.
7. Data Retention
Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow up, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. 9. International Data Transfers
Cloudflare operates a global network, so request data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where this happens, our service providers use recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Share Buttons and Third Party Links
The share buttons on our articles are plain links to Facebook, X and WhatsApp. Nothing is sent to those services unless you click a button, and from then on their own privacy policies apply. The same is true of any other site we link to; we are not responsible for how other sites handle your information.
11. Children's Privacy
aNewsTime is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Data Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to server logs and our inbox is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.
