An Overview of Keele University
Keele University was the first new university in the study in UK in the 20th century and was established to promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scholarship. In this blog, I am mentioning all about Keele University. Keele started ahead of the degree with Double Honors, which is still held by about 70% of students. Single honors degrees are also available, as is a multidisciplinary foundation year.
The University has 10,000 students from more than 120 countries enrolled at the University, and almost all undergraduates can study abroad for a semester at one of 80 partner universities. Keele is constantly ranked in the top 3 according to student satisfaction.
Keele University is located over 600-acres of parkland, with extensive forests, lakes and a beautiful park. A key feature of the estate is the 19th century Keele Hall, Grade II listed as English Heritage.
Facilities at Keele University for International Students
Keele University has a dedicated International Student Support Team and is responsible for arranging the Meet and Greet service at the beginning of term from Manchester Airport and London Heathrow for new students.
A number of events are designed to bring international students together and learn about other countries. In advance of Welcome Week, there is also International Guides, which aims to help students find life in another country. International students may choose to take pre-sessional English lessons, lasting up to 12 weeks before the start of term. And a foundation year, in which English lessons accompany general learning.

Keele University ranking is 48th according to the Times University Guide 2022 and 48th according to the Guardian University Guide 2022.
In the National Student Survey, Keele consistently ranks as one of the top ten universities in the UK. While the Students’ Union was ranked in the top five in the UK for a number of available activities get. The Daily Telegraph identified the Keele campus as the 6th most beautiful place in the UK. Keele has been ranked among the top universities in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Following the last Research Excellence Framework in 2014, 97% of Keele’s research was rated as global, or internationally important.
Accommodation at Keele University
All international students are guaranteed accommodation on campus if they book before the closing date. And can stay for the duration of their course if they wish. Together, these halls accommodate approximately 2,800 students. Both suite and standard rooms are available, with catering options also available. Accommodation in the surrounding area is known to be reasonably priced.
Location of Keele University
The University campus is located near Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire.
It is conveniently located in the center of the country, all around. It takes around one and half hours from London, and less than an hour from Manchester, and Birmingham. Known locally as The Potteries, it is a collection of connected towns and cities that traditionally used pottery during the Industrial Revolution. As such, it features many traditional manufacturing cities and cities surrounded by a country.
